The Hub welcomes St Albans Primary School

On Thursday 5th February St Albans School just down the road from The Hub was the victim of an arson attack that badly damaged parts of the school, leaving it unusable.

We quickly realised that this meant Children wouldn’t be able to go to school the next day and parents would need to find something to entertain them.

Fortunately our volunteers were more than happy to help out, so we opened our doors to the pupils and parents, put on a couple of films, provided some arts and crafts materials and set up the sports hall with various activities for the kids.

The local community really rallied around and a great day was had by all, as you can see from these photos!

We’d like to say thanks to all the parents who helped out, the children who behaved so well and our volunteers, particularly those who worked so hard in the cafe all day!
